Your Guide to Participating in WAC

To ensure that all participants have a positive and enriching experience at WAC, we’ve created some simple guidelines:

  1. Respect for All Participants
WAC is a place for learning and collaboration. Participants are expected to show respect for their teammates, opponents, and judges at all times. This includes respecting diverse perspectives, ideas, and cultures.
  2. Emphasis on Collaboration
While some events are competitive, our focus remains on collaborative learning. Be open to teamwork, and take the opportunity to learn from your peers. Every team member has something valuable to offer.
  3. Active Participation
Engage fully in all events and challenges. Whether you’re debating, writing, or working on a project, your involvement helps create a more enriching experience for everyone.
  4. Be Prepared
Preparation is key to success. Make sure you’re ready for each event by reviewing guidelines, doing research, and practicing with your team.
  5. Celebrate Progress
WAC is about growth. Whether you’re recognized for your efforts or simply learn something new, take pride in your progress and celebrate the journey.
  6. Have Fun!
Above all, enjoy the process. WAC is a place to have fun, make friends, and learn in an exciting, supportive environment.
